Following Peter as he swims Cook Strait. Hit the water at 9. 00 am and it was cold. Swimming in the lake is cold when you get in, but I soon get used to it. This was colder and felt cold the whole day. The first break was at one hour and came round quickly which was good. Covered about 4 k which was good speed, but boosted from the tide current.
